Story Notes: I originally did not want such a huge gap between the plot but felt this was necessary as an important step happens four months after the events of Chapter 12. There'll be more time jumps like this. Also, I wanted Renin to have a special friend but the idea developed into something but I was debating whether Joustie should be male or female. However, after reading work by a lass called Hazel, I knew Joustie was going to be male.
Dedication: Hazel from my lotr fan fic group for her inspiring work and Richie who sent me a certain petition which prompted me to make Joustie male.

Story Notes: I was originally going to have Lolly captured by Derek and shes scared to leave the house and she contacts him by mobile. However, this scene never gets in this story and the mobile is ingnificant.
Dedication: To Simply Red and the film DEAD POETS SOCIETY. If it wasnt for getting itno Simply Red at the time, I would never have thought of the perfect song to put this in, let alone the title. Only a certain line in DPS becomes important later on.
